About the Author

My name is Daryl James Hall. I was born in Berkeley, California and raised in Oakland, California. I was drafted into the military at the age of nineteen and retired from the military in 1988 after 22 years of service. I married my wonderful wife Else in 1970 in Pirmasens, Germany. Shortly before retiring from the military I found a wonderful church called By His Word Christian Center (BHWCC) in Tacoma, Washington. My wife and I have attended BHWCC for approximately 15 years. I am involved in the Men’s Ministry, Altar working and the Children’s Department at BHWCC. I realized a love for poetry while taking an English course in college about 13 years ago. I began expressing my experiences and relationship with the Lord from that time. Sometimes I feel a prompting to write. I have learned to submit to the prompting. Hopefully, you will enjoy the poems that I will be sharing with you.
