About
the Author: Lottie Marin
Lottie
Marin was born on September 12, 1955 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. My
father was Ivan Torres, a retired US Postal Employee, and my mother
is Alda Rosario, a retired teacher. I graduated from the University
of Puerto Rico in 1977 with a Bachelors Degree in Secretarial Sciences
from the Business Administration Faculty. I married my husband Luis
Marin in December 1976 and have two wonderful children, Luis and
Lottie. Luis retired from the US Army in1992. His last duty station
was in Fort Lewis, Washington. We have been residents of Washington
since then. My working experience started in the Credit Department
at JCPenneys in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico and continued until the year
2000, where I stopped working as the Administrative Assistant for
the Wiping Rag Division in Rowtac, Inc., a company dedicated to
process and export of used clothing. Since then I have devoted my
time to the care of my elderly parents and family. We started attending
By His Word Christian Center in Tacoma in 1992. I enjoy my family
tremendously. Dancing with my husband is my favorite activity. Trying
new recipes, reading, and spending time with friends and family
are activities that bring me a lot of joy.
