About the Author:
Pastor John Cook is a highly respected teacher of the Word of God and Christian counselor using the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit.

John accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of 8 and was filled with the Holy Spirit when he was 13 years old.

John became active in the ministry at the early age of 19. He served as leader of the youth group and worked in the Helps Ministry as well as many other pastoral duties in a small community church in Eastern Washington.

He was drafted in the US Army and was stationed at Madigan Army Medical Center for 2 years. At that time he attended Southside Chapel in Tacoma, Washington and was asked to lead the youth services. Also, he taught the Adult Bible Class.

From 1965 to 1977, John and his family ministered in rest homes, touching many lives along the way. He was ordained in 1975 and became an Assistant Pastor and has worked in his capacity for 28 years.

John and Myrna reside in Yelm, Washington. They have 3 grown children, Marla and John Jr. His ministry headquarters are located in Tacoma, Washington, and he considers By His Word Christian Center his church home where he now serves as Assistant Pastor, Teacher, Counselor, and Building Project Coordinator.
